Kelp2

Kelp. The large seaweed plant is part of the brown algae family and grows in giant, forest-like beds off many coastlines around the world. Like almost everything that grows in the sea, kelp is an abundant source of bio-available minerals and micro-nutrients. As with almost all seaweeds, kelp has been used in Asian countries in soups and salads for centuries.

No surprise that this extremely nutrient-dense food contains many of the essential nutrients to needed for strong, healthy, shiny hair.

It is an excellent source of naturally occurring iodine, which is necessary for the production of thyroid hormones. These play an important role in regulating the length of time that hair remains in its resting stage, and in supporting the hair follicle in becoming active again, to promote new hair growth.

It also is a great source of iron, sodium, phosphorus and calcium and has a variety of vitamins, including A, B1, B2, C, D and E all of which keep your locks looking fabulous!

Kelp also contains laminaria angustata, which is believed to thicken hair.
